The head of the CIA met with Zelensky

According to the report of Fars International News Agency, one of the senior officials of the United States of America said that “William Burns”, the head of the CIA, recently visited Ukraine and met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the intelligence officials of this country.

An unnamed US official told CNN: “Director Burns recently traveled to Ukraine; As he has been doing this regularly since a year ago and the beginning of Russian aggression.

The US official continued: “As on other trips, the (CIA) director met with his intelligence counterparts in Ukraine and with President Zelensky and reiterated America’s commitment to sharing information to help defend Ukraine against Russian aggression.”

This American official said that Burns had traveled to Kiev before the rebellion of Wagner’s militia leader Yevgeny Prigozhin in Russia, and this matter was not included in his discussions with Ukrainian officials.

On the other hand, yesterday (Friday), the American newspaper “Wall Street Journal” reported that William Burns called his Russian counterpart and assured him that Washington was not involved in Wagner’s rebellion.

The Washington Post first reported on Burns’ latest trip to Ukraine. According to the Washington Post, citing an informed official, Burns met with Ukrainian officials in early June, and a strategy for recapturing territories from Russia and starting ceasefire talks with Moscow by the end of this year has been presented.

By claiming that the Russian attack against his country is an act against the whole of Europe, the Zelenskyi government has so far attracted hundreds of billions of dollars in military aid from Western countries. American aid to Ukraine alone has exceeded one hundred billion dollars, and some of NATO’s most advanced equipment has gone to the battlefields with Russia; Leopard tanks and Patriot anti-aircraft systems are among these, but despite the vast equipment sent by Western countries to Ukraine, many experts consider the probability of this country winning the battle with the Russians to be insignificant.
