The head of the Environmental Protection Organization left for Geneva


The vice president and the head of the environmental protection organization left for Geneva this morning to participate in the meeting of the ministers of the contracting countries of the Convention on the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea (Tehran Convention).



According to Moj news agency, the meeting of the ministers of the contracting countries of the Convention on the Protection of the Marine Environment of the Caspian Sea with the presence of the ministers of Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan will be held for two days on the 30th and 31st of September.

Planning for the resumption of activities within the framework of the Caspian Sea Marine Environment Protection Convention, reviewing the structure of the Tehran Convention Secretariat, the priorities of regional environmental cooperation in the Caspian Sea are among the important issues that will be discussed and discussed in this meeting.

The head of the Center for International Affairs and Conventions of the Environmental Protection Organization, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Caspian Maritime Affairs and the Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Representative Office in Geneva and other related experts accompany Ali Selajgeh – the head of the Environmental Protection Organization.
