The history of Iranian football became a “documentary series” / “One nation, one beat” is the narrative of decades of football in Iran

According to Fars news agency, according to the public relations of the Documentary Network, Mohammad Hasan Yadgari of the documentary series “One Nation, One Beat” said about the subject of this series: Considering my work experience and my interest in making sports documentaries, the Documentary Network suggested This year’s World Cup, I will make a documentary about the history of Iran’s national football team. Initially, we were supposed to start from 1996, which is the prelude to the national team’s promotion to the 1998 World Cup, and continue until today, but when several parts of the documentary were prepared and the documentary network saw the quality of the work, it decided to continue this project. And turn it into a documentary from the beginning of the emergence of football in Iran until today.
He added: Based on this, since the beginning of football in Iran until 1996, it has been prepared in 8 parts, and the contemporary era, that is, from this date until today, will be produced in 32 parts. The broadcast of this documentary will start on Thursday and will continue until the Asian Nations Cup in 1402.
He said about the production process of this documentary series: The production of this documentary started in August of last year; I was involved in collecting archival images for a few months and visited every place where archival images could be collected; We got many of the images from collectors and those who are archivists. This series is prepared in 40 30-minute episodes.
The director of the documentary series “One Nation, One Beat” said about the first part of this series: In the first part of this series, we see the formation of football in Iran and its emergence in our country. It is true that football came to Iran for the first time during the reign of Reza Shah, but Iranians had a relationship with it since the Qajar era.
Yadegari explained the difference between this collection and the previous documentaries and said: Many documentaries have been made about the national team, but they did not have this kind of coherence and comprehensiveness in narration and characterisation. For example, we had the history collection of the national team, which had an episodic and item mode and was not a story. We also had the documentary on Iranian football, which was mostly related to the sidelines of the national team, and again, it did not have a narrative. In the documentary series “One Nation, One Beat” while using all the information of the past, we tried to create a character.
The first part of this documentary series will be broadcast on Thursday, September 10 at 20:00 on Documentary Network, and it will be repeated the next day at 17:00.
