The import of this car was canceled – Tejaratnews

According to Tejarat News, the reasons for removing the import of French cars were announced by the Minister of Silence.
The Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade (Samet) announced in response to the ban on the import of French cars to the country: “Currently, we do not have a plan to allow the import of French cars.”
According to IRNA, “Syderreza Fatemi Amin” made these statements about the validity of the ban on the import of French cars and said: French car manufacturers do not have a good record in terms of their obligations in Iran.
Minister Samet expressed regret and said: “The French government has also taken wrong positions in these recent incidents, and we currently have no plans to allow the import of French cars.”
Earlier, the spokesman of the Ministry of Security had announced that the import of French cars to Iran was banned and sanctioned by this ministry, and the Ministry of Security and the Iranian government had sanctioned French car manufacturers for their behavior and would no longer allow them to use sanctions to destroy the industry. and put pressure on the Iranian car market.
Omid Qalibaf has also said that due to the unprofessional behavior of the French in the past years, we no longer allow placing orders and importing products from Renault, Peugeot, Citroen and other French car manufacturers.
The import of French cars became conditional
The implementation of the car import plan has been suspended for a long time due to the conditions of the ministry of secrecy. The latest ban for importers is the import of cars from France without compensation. But are the French willing to compensate for the loss and return to Iran?
After publishing the names of the selected importing companies, which were the car manufacturers, it was announced that the car import has reached the implementation stage and the selected importing companies have started their negotiations with foreign car manufacturers.
Looking at the background of the importing companies and the cooperation of these companies with foreign car manufacturers, it was thought that with the re-liberalization of car imports, the importers will go to their old partners again.
Changan, Nissan, Hyundai, Mistubishi and of course Citroen, Renault and Peugeot were among the most important options to start negotiations. But it didn’t take long for the car import to face new terms and conditions. Including the fact that the Ministry of Security initially banned the import of French cars due to their past bad faith. Meanwhile, a significant number of these companies, including Citroen, Renault and Peugeot, are French.
In this context, Omid Qalibaf, the spokesman of the Ministry of Security, announced during a conversation: French companies caused heavy losses to Iranian companies due to the behavior of Peugeot and Renault during the sanctions period and suddenly leaving Iran with the return of sanctions, and for this reason, imports from France are prohibited. .
But it wasn’t long before Qalibaf took back his word and made imports from this country conditional on compensating for the damages caused in the past.
He explained for the second time regarding the ban on imports from France: French companies can operate in the country if they compensate for the losses of suddenly leaving Iran after the return of sanctions.
The loss of car manufacturers after the French left Iran
Although the government is trying to pretend that it is the French car manufacturers that have suffered after the termination of cooperation with Iran, but looking at the situation of the Iranian car industry, it can be seen that the Iranian market has suffered much more.
A look at the history of cooperation shows that French car manufacturers have been investing and operating in Iranian car companies for many years. But suddenly they left Iran regardless of the contracts and big investments. Of course, the scope of their cooperation with America required them to pass on the benefits of cooperation with Iran.
However, after Renault and Peugeot left Iran, the two state-owned car manufacturers were forced to deliver two or three domestically produced cars to customers for every car they pre-sold to the public. Of course, this happened to two companies, Changan and Citroen, and after the joint investment that took place, these two companies left Iran.
Importing cars with loss compensation?
Now, the Ministry of Security and the government expect these car manufacturers to compensate for the previous losses instead of selling their products. But will the French automakers agree to compensate for the losses?
Considering the sanctions and political relations between the two countries, it seems that this country is not willing to compensate for its previous losses. On the other hand, it is said that probably the French car manufacturers are not willing to cooperate with Iran and apart from compensating for the losses, they do not even sell cars to importing companies.
Also, it seems that Iran’s car market is not very attractive for French car manufacturers to force them to invest and cooperate again with Iranian car manufacturers.
This is why it is said that the importing companies are trying to buy foreign cars from the markets of neighboring countries due to the deadline set by the Ministry of Security. Intermediate car import also creates a new problem for importers, especially the buyers of these cars. Because these cars, which are claimed to be economical, will be transformed into luxury cars by intermediate imports.
