According to the reporter of Aria Heritage, the unveiling ceremony of the integrated system of adaptation and standardization of tourism facilities (SITA), this morning on July 10, 1402, at the Atana Hotel, with the presence of Yahya Naghizadeh, the general manager of monitoring and evaluation of tourism services, Ruhollah Hosseinzadeh, the CEO of the mother specialized company for the development of Iran Tourism and World Tourism, Mohammad Reza Dashti Ardakani, head of the cultural heritage and tourism faction, technical managers and agents of the matching companies were held at Atana Hotel.
Stating that the main task of standardization and evaluation of tourism facilities is the responsibility of the expert and specialized body in the field of evaluation, Naghizadeh added: The issue of implementation based on laws and regulations is the responsibility of the ministry, which evaluates, grades and prices the services of tourism facilities while respecting the rights of consumers.
Referring to the evaluations based on criteria that are updated annually, he continued: Currently, the updating of hotel criteria has been done and is in the final stage. Also, measures have been taken in the field of evaluation of ecotourism criteria and are being announced.
11 thousand tourist facilities should Get service quality certificate
Director General of Tourism Services Monitoring and Evaluation added: 11,000 tourist facilities with operating licenses from the Vice-President of Tourism and provincial administrations must be included in the evaluation cycle and receive service quality certificates through the SITA system.
Stating that more than 50% of tourism facilities are in the evaluation cycle, Naghizadeh continued: In the field of hotels, more than 80% of 4- and 5-star hotels are in this cycle, and 40-50% have received service quality certificates.
Naghizadeh pointed out the importance of getting a service quality standard certificate and added: getting a standard certificate depends on passing the procedures and having mandatory standards for evaluation and grading criteria. We hope that in the form of this new system, which is an updated version of the previous system, the defects and ambiguities of the past will be resolved and the evaluation and adaptation work will be done with speed, accuracy and transparency.
Referring to 180 evaluator experts, 44 implementation agent companies and 80 implementation technical managers, he continued: Issuing and renewing the license of implementation agents and evaluators is done by the SITA system. Also, a supplementary section related to the evaluation and monitoring of tourism facilities through taking public surveys has been considered as a platform to solve problems with pathologies.
The general manager of tourism services monitoring and evaluation, referring to the design of a system related to hotel construction standards that includes zero to one hundred operation, expressed hope that by continuing this process, we will see an integrated and continuous system of evaluation for the improvement of tourism services.
In the end, Naghizadeh thanked the specialized parent company for the development of Iran tourism and tourism and the executive company for designing this system and added: the continued use of the capacity of knowledge-based companies and new technologies, as well as its integration with the expert body, can lead to the improvement of the quality of tourism facilities, people’s satisfaction, attraction more domestic and foreign tourists.

The CEO of Irangerdi and Jahangerdi Development Company, emphasizing that the private sector is not harmed in this process, added: due to the leadership and presidential measures to strengthen and become more active the private sector, the government is responsible for the guidance, supervision and management.
He further pointed to the preparation of systems for health tourism and investment and added: The Iranbin (Iran Travel) project is also ready, its advertising has been done and it will be unveiled soon, which is a big event.
Parliament should form a working group so that we can offer cheap travel packages
In this ceremony, Harmatullah Rafiei, referring to the special place of tourism in the world, said: the tourism industry turns the economic wheel of societies and the private and public sector should use this capacity together. Currently, there are good conditions to speed up our work in the field of inbound tourism and work on domestic tourism as well.
Pointing to the expensiveness of the travel package in Iran, he said: “Airline companies actually run businesses and run their businesses on behalf of the airlines, and with such conditions, it is clear that the travel package becomes expensive.”
Addressing Dashti Ardakani, who was present at the ceremony, he said: The Islamic Council should enter into this matter and form a working group so that we can make the travel package cheaper and witness the tourists entering Iran.
Tourism committees of the 7th Development Plan have been formed
Dashti Ardakani also stated that the 7th development plan is under consideration in the parliament and various tourism committees have also been formed, pointing out the mastery of engineer Zarghami on the 7th development plan and the explanations provided by him.
The head of the cultural heritage and tourism faction said in connection with Rafiei’s words about the formation of a working group: the private sector must believe in itself. The government and the Islamic Council are supposed to monitor only. If we do not interfere in the work of the private sector, it will do its own work. The private sector can monitor itself and be the best evaluator along with public opinion polls.
