“South Khorasan can become a brand in the field of handicrafts,” Javad Vahedi said at the ceremony, which was held before noon today, Sunday, May 7, 1401, according to the public relations of the General Directorate of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan.

The Deputy Minister of Parliamentary and Provincial Affairs of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts also stated: “The capacity of the desert has special and unique attractions that we must use to attract tourism. “Our missing link in attracting domestic and foreign tourists is introducing attractions and advertising for it.”

“South Khorasan is a few steps higher than many other provinces in the field of cultural heritage,” he stressed.

“For us, chastity and anti-corruption, knowledge of the mission area, interaction with other agencies and having a joint dialogue with the government are important components for selecting managers in the ministry,” Vahedi said.

“Hadi Shahverdi, who has been introduced as the new director general of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of South Khorasan, has the following components,” he noted.

Economic transformation of South Khorasan with the development of tourism

“We must use the tourist attractions for the economic transformation of South Khorasan,” said Mohammad Reza Talebi, the political, security and social deputy governor of South Khorasan.

“The tourism industry is the third largest in the world after oil and automobile manufacturing,” Talebi said.

Pointing out that the main capital in the field of tourism is God-given natural blessings, he said: “In 14 verses of the Holy Quran, the subject of tourism is directly mentioned.”

Emphasizing that people’s cultural considerations in the field of tourism must be taken into account, Talebi said, “We have many unique and natural attractions such as the amazing desert, which have not been well introduced. “One of the important effects of tourism is economic income generation, and we must use the tourist attractions in line with the economic development of South Khorasan.”

Creating 600 job opportunities in the field of handicrafts

Hassan Ramezani, former director general of South Khorasan Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, said that one of the most important events in the field of handicrafts in South Khorasan is the registration of the world village of handicrafts in Khorashad.

“Fortunately, the number of registered handicraft artists has now reached 10,000, while in 1992 we had only 2,000 handicraft artists,” he recalled.

“The number of nationally registered monuments today has reached 987, and 170 monuments have been restored,” he added.

“In the field of tourism, we had 197 foreign tourists in 1992, which reached 12,000 in the last year before Corona,” Ramezani said.

Hadi Shahverdi, the new Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan, thanked the Governor of South Khorasan and the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts for his good faith and said: “I will do my best to serve the people and implement the ministry’s policies.” . »

“I call on all activists in the fields of cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism to help us to promote tourism and handicrafts in the province,” Shahverdi added.

“Taking care of staff livelihoods and supporting tourism and handicraft activists is one of my priorities,” he stressed.
