The iPhone 13 Pro costs more to build than the Galaxy S21 Plus

Apple has recently introduced and launched the iPhone 13 family of phones, and in this regard, we are witnessing the publication of many reports about them. Now in The latest onesThe cost of making the iPhone 13 Pro has been compared to that of the Galaxy S21 Plus, according to which Apple will pay more to build this product than Samsung, and of course its costs have increased compared to the previous generation.
The iPhone 13 Pro uses 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM instead of the newer LPDDR5, and at first glance, the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro seem to use a graphics processor. However, according to Apple, standard models use a quad-core GPU and Pro versions use a 5-core GPU.
The pixel size of the iPhone 12 camera is 1.4 micrometers, while on the iPhone 13 it is 1.7 micrometers. In the Pro model, instead of a pixel size of 1.4 micrometers, we are faced with a pixel size of 1.9 micrometers.
Leaving aside the technical specifications, we come to the cost of building these two flagships. The iPhone 13 Pro is equipped with a chip, NAND memory and expensive display subsystem, and the cost of the chassis has increased. For this reason, we are facing a higher construction cost than the previous generation.
Examining the cost of parts and materials in detail, we come across the cost of making the $ 570 iPhone 13 Pro. Items such as software, shipping costs, and intellectual property do not appear to be included in this cost.
The 256GB iPhone 13 Pro is priced at $ 1099, which is 1.9 times the cost. In the previous generation, the production of each phone cost $ 548. The parts needed for the Galaxy S21 Plus cost about $ 508 for Samsung, and the retail price is $ 1,049, so the price of this device is twice the cost of its parts.
Given the fierce competition between Samsung and Apple, the Koreans may reconsider the price of their phones in the future.
