The iPhone 16 is likely to be equipped with a new Capacitive Capture button

It seems that Apple wants to add a new capacitive button called “Capture Button” codenamed “Project Nova” to the iPhone 16 series phones. Currently, we don’t know what this button does, but apparently it will be one of its winning cards for more sales in the market.

While only a few days have passed since the iPhone 15 family entered the market, we are witnessing the start of rumors and reports about their next generation. now A new report It has been claimed that Apple is using a new capacitive button for the iPhone 16 series.

This button is apparently placed on the side where the power button is. This button will be located below the mmWave cut-out, and of course this cut-out will be moved to the front and next to the volume buttons.

New button for iPhone 16 series

This button will be capacitive instead of mechanical. Therefore, we are not dealing with a moving button and this button detects pressure and touch. According to the amount of pressure, this button reacts to the user with haptic feedback. This button is expected to have the same functionality as the home button on the iPhone SE.

During the initial development of the iPhone 15 Pro, some rumors pointed to the use of capacitive buttons instead of mechanical ones in this device. Of course, Apple was not looking to add a new button to iPhones and wanted to remove the power and volume buttons from the mechanical mode. This approach was abandoned in the development stages and we only faced the new action button in iPhone 15 Pro models.

Unlike Apple’s previous program for the iPhone 15 series, the Capture button will be added to all models of the iPhone 16 family, including the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. In addition to this button, we should wait for the upgraded action button in these products.

There’s still a long way to go before the iPhone 16 series is announced, so we’ll have to wait for more reports.
