The iPhone SE 4 is likely to come with a similar design to the iPhone 14

Some time ago it was rumored that Apple might no longer want to produce the new iPhone SE generation; But now the famous analyst of Apple products, “Ming-Chi Kuo”, has claimed that the company has restarted work on the iPhone SE 4 and wants to launch it with a 6.1-inch OLED display and its own 5G modem.

Several months ago, Ming-Chi Kuo announced that Apple may have scrapped its plan to release a new iPhone SE in 2024, but now again in a Tweet thread has announced the redevelopment of this product. According to Ko, the fourth-generation iPhone SE will be similar to the iPhone 14.

The iPhone SE 4 comes with an OLED display

While all generations of the iPhone SE have been equipped with an LCD screen to date, Kuo says that for the next generation of this product, we will face an OLED panel, which will be similar to the iPhone 14, 6.1 inches, and there will be little bezels around it. According to another prominent market analyst, “Ross Young”, Apple will use the BOE panel in this smartphone.

The new iPhone SE will also be equipped with a 5G modem developed by Apple itself, which, according to Ko, will only support bands below 6 GHz and will not support millimeter wave. The current generation of iPhone SE also supports 5G network, but it has Qualcomm Snapdragon X57 modem.

Ko has not published any information about the date of the introduction of the fourth generation iPhone SE, but it is unlikely that we will face this device earlier than March 2024. The current generation of this device arrived in March 2022. The iPhone SE 3 uses the same design as its predecessor, however, it has more powerful technical specifications and is sold at a price of $429.

If Apple goes for the iPhone SE 4 design similar to the iPhone 14, there will be no new device in Apple’s product portfolio with a home button, and after years, the life of the popular home button will end.
