The iPhone SE Plus will likely launch next year with a 4.7-inch display and 5G support

We have been seeing reports of the next generation iPhone SE for a long time, and we expect to see the unveiling of such a device next year. Ross Young, a market analyst, now says that Apple will unveil a new generation of the phone next year called the iPhone SE Plus, but we should not expect to use a larger display.

to the Said YoungApple will continue to use the 4.7-inch LCD display in the current generation iPhone SE. Apple used the display available for the iPhone 8 in the second generation iPhone SE. The new information is in line with the previous report that the 4.7-inch panel will continue to be used.

In 2019, one of Apple’s leading product analysts, Ming-Chi Koo, announced that Apple was working on the iPhone SE 2 Plus with a larger display for 2021, but that did not happen. After a while, Koo backtracked on his predictions, saying that the Cupertinos would use the same display as the current generation in such products.

Koo also claimed that the next-generation iPhone SE supports 5G, a theme that Young is now repeating. It is possible that the name Plus will be used in the next generation iPhone SE for higher connection speeds.

Apple often used the word “plus” for a larger screen, and we’ve seen the same thing on the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 8 Plus. But after the iPhone 8 Plus, Apple no longer uses this name and has been replaced by Pro Max. But maybe again with the next generation iPhone SE, we will see the use of the word Plus.

If the next generation iPhone SE still uses a 4.7-inch LCD panel and can also support 5G network, we will not see much progress. Of course, we expect it to be equipped with a newer A chip and be the cheapest Apple 5G phone.

According to Young, Apple is also working on a larger version of the iPhone SE, which will probably be available in 2024. Called the iPhone SE 3, the device will use a 5.7- to 6.1-inch LCD display.
