The Iranian Cinema Actors Association condemned any violence

According to Fars News Agency, the Central Council of the Iranian Cinema Actors Association wrote in response to a statement issued by a group of cinema activists following some violence behind the scenes of the cinema:

The Iranian Cinema Actors Association, while condemning the undeniable existence of violence and insulting treatment and immoral behavior, especially against women filmmakers; Believes that refining the cultural atmosphere of Iran’s proud cinema and achieving relations free of violence and gender inequality in the cinema environment is a very difficult thing that can be achieved only by reforming and strengthening organizations and trade unions and the cooperation and consensus of all members of cinema guilds. It will be possible, therefore, the board of directors of the Iranian Cinema Actors Association sincerely welcomes the presence and cooperation of educated members of the association and their suggestions, plans and practical plans to eradicate any anomalies in the country’s cinema, and all actors, especially women actors Violence and sexual assault have been demanded without fear of the name and title and position of individuals; Follow up their complaints through the Cinema House Protection Council until the verdict is issued and executed.
