The Iranian embassy in London denied the Guardian report

According to IRNA’s foreign policy correspondent, the Iranian embassy in London denied the Guardian newspaper’s report on Russia’s use of weapons allegedly smuggled by Iran from Iraq, calling the report unprofessional and baseless.
The Iranian embassy in London wrote on Twitter: The Guardian’s Tuesday report, entitled “Russia’s use of weapons smuggled by Iran from Iraq against Ukraine” and called the storytelling unrealistic and baseless.
The Iranian embassy further wrote: “Trying to make a connection between the recent developments in Ukraine and the developments in the Middle East and mentioning Iran’s name is an unprofessional and unacceptable act and also a kind of disrespect to the readers of that newspaper.”
The Iranian embassy wrote in another tweet: “The Guardian is expected to publish the truth, but Tuesday’s article contradicts this approach. We express our protest against this issue and call for necessary action in this regard.”
