Today and on the first day of these competitions, the preliminary and semi-final stage fights of weights minus 46, minus 62 and plus 73 kg were held. Saeedeh Nasiri (weight minus 46 kg), Kowsar Asaseh (weight minus 62 kg), Narges Mirnourollahi (weight Minus 62 kg) and Zeinab Ismaili (weight minus 73 kg) were the representatives of Iran.

In the semi-finals, Iran’s representative in the weight category of minus 62 kg met Petra Olbova from the Czech Republic. And reached the bronze medal.
But Saeedeh Nasiri, the first weight representative, won 17-11 in her first fight against the representative from Russia, but her second match was against the South Korean taekwondo fighter, who was the runner-up in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, runner-up in the 2021 Asian Games and 2018 world youth champion. Gave up 22 to 18.
Narges Mirnourollahi, in the weight category of minus 62 kg, defeated the African champion Kholal Maryameh from Morocco 10-7 in the first step, but lost 19-7 in the second fight against Caroline Santos from Brazil, the world runner-up and the American champion. Zeinab Ismaili, the heavyweight representative of our country in the first fight against Christiana Adebayo, the European runner-up from the champion Russia, lost with a score of 12 to one and withdrew from the competition.
