The Iranian women’s national taekwondo team is heading to Riyadh



According to IRNA, the first round of the World Free Women’s Taekwondo Championships will be held from December 4 to 6, hosted by Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

Accordingly, our national women’s taekwondo team will leave Tehran for Dubai on Monday (December 22nd) and then leave for Riyadh.

The composition of the national women’s taekwondo team in these competitions is as follows:

Weight minus 46 kg: Saeedeh Nasiri
Weight minus 53 kg: Ghazal Soltani
Weight minus 57 kg: Nahid Kiani and Zahra Sheidaei
Weight minus 62 kg: Kowsar Asaseh and Narges Mirnourollahi
Weight minus 73 kg: Melika Mir Hosseini
Weight plus 73 kg: Zeinab Ismaili

These people are led by Mehro Kamrani as the head coach and Reyhaneh Fooladi as the coach.

According to the announcement, the meeting of the guardians and the lottery ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Tehran time.

The competitions of the first day (Thursday) will be held in the weights of minus 46, minus 62 and plus 73 kg. Saeedeh Nasiri, Kowsar Asaseh, Narges Mirnourollahi and Zeinab Ismaili are the representatives of Iran.

The competitions on the second day (Friday) will be held in the weights of minus 49, minus 57 and minus 73, and Nahid Kiani, Zahra Sheidaei and Melika Mir Hosseini will go to Xiaopchang.

The competitions of the third and final day (Saturday) will be held in the weights of minus 53 and minus 67 kg, with Ghazal Soltani competing against the opponents.

The first to third place winners will be awarded 40, 24 and 14.40 points, respectively, in order to increase their Olympic ranking.
