According to the report of Arya Heritage and quoted by the Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, the Iran-Iraq tourism specialized desk aimed to investigate issues and remove existing obstacles and limitations in the direction of developing tourism relations and increasing Iraqi tourists entering the Islamic Republic of Iran this morning. It was held on Wednesday, August 19, 1401, under the management of the foreign tourism marketing and development office at the place of the Ministry of Tourism.

In this meeting, which was held with the participation of trans-sector institutions that are influential in the relations between the two countries, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Road and Transport Organization, the Ports and Maritime Organization, as well as the representatives of the Vice-President of Tourism and the Center for World Tourism and Motoring, the obstacles and problems in the discussion of the entry of Iraqi tourists Our country was surveyed and analyzed.

Issues such as facilitating the transportation of Iraqi tourists by creating regular land travel lines and the formation of sea transportation lines were among the issues raised in this meeting.

The representatives and invitees of the above meeting raised the relevant issues and problems and it was decided that this meeting will be held again in the near future with other institutions and departments related to the transportation and transit of Iraqi tourists to the country.

Iraq is one of the important target countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the establishment of relations and development of tourism, and considering that the incoming tourists from this country travel to Iran with various interests of health, pilgrimage and recreation, hence they are an important audience in the region’s economy. are considered tourism.
