According to Mehr news agency, citing the public relations of Documentary Network, the 6-part documentary series “Land of Waters” produced and directed by Morteza Nasralhi is a new production of Sima Documentary Network, which will be broadcast every week from Saturday, July 11.
Nasralhi said about this documentary: “Land of Waters” is a complete view of Azerbaijan, Iran, which has been prepared in 6 episodes of 40 minutes. In this documentary series, we watch the thousand-color canvas of life and customs of the people of this geographical area. The land that its ancient rituals, hills, castles, fire temples and ancient temples show was once the cradle of human culture and civilization.
He said about the main subject of the 6 parts of this documentary: The first part of this documentary called “From Spring to Lake” examines the factors that caused Lake Urmia to dry up. In the second part, we went to the creation of nature in the land of waters. In the third part of this documentary, we discussed the wildlife of the “Land of Waters” area. There are 7 international wetlands in the world for bird migration, one of which is in the south of Lake Urmia. The fourth part also has a “look at the history and civilization” of this region, and in the fifth part, we discuss the “rituals, customs and traditions” in the land of waters. The sixth part is also an attempt to narrate the life of the people of this region in contemporary times.
This documentary maker said about the production process of the “Land of Waters” documentary series: The research of this documentary took 12 years and the production process was also the same. In other words, while we were researching, we were also filming. In addition, we have been editing for nearly a year now.
He explained about the structure of this documentary: The structure of the documentary is Ravi Yar and I have gone in front of the camera as Ravi Yar. Of course, the main point in the documentary is that it is research-oriented. In other words, I am not dealing with a descriptive documentary. The announcer of this documentary is Farid Khatibinejad, the announcer of Ashraq network (Zanjan network). Also, the documentary was produced in Farsi, but the interview with the villagers is in Turkish, and that’s why we have Farsi subtitles.
