While welcoming the agreement on the resumption of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council expressed hope that this would be a step towards resolving differences and ending the regional conflict through dialogue.

The foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries also praised the efforts of Oman and Iraq in smoothing the dialogue between Riyadh and Tehran and hosting several rounds of dialogue.

In the final statement of this meeting, it was also emphasized the necessity of stopping the enrichment of uranium beyond the amount required for peaceful uses in Iran and Tehran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, and the member states of this council declared their readiness to cooperate with Iran in this case. .
