The Lebanese Foreign Minister called on Riyadh to hold talks with Beirut to resolve the recent crisis between the two sides.
According to Sputnik, quoting AFP, Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhbib called on Saudi Arabia to hold talks to resolve the current crisis following the crisis between Beirut and Riyadh following remarks by Lebanese Information Minister George Qardahi about the war in Yemen. .
“Problems between friendly countries can only be resolved through dialogue and trust, not by imposed demands, and this is true of Lebanon and Saudi Arabia,” he said.
“Lebanon wants Saudi Arabia to talk to solve all the remaining problems, not just the last one, so that the same crisis does not happen every time,” Buhabib said.
The diplomatic crisis between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon began last week following the release of information by Information Minister George Qardahi, in which he described the Yemeni war as “worthless.”
Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council recently expelled Lebanese ambassadors over remarks by Lebanese Information Minister George Qardahi criticizing the Saudi-led military intervention in Yemen.
