As mentioned in previous rumors, the Legion Y90 is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. The phone will be available in three different configurations with 12, 16 and 18 GB of RAM. Accordingly, the cheaper models of this phone will be available with 256 GB of memory and the more expensive models will be available with 640 GB of internal memory including 512 GB of UFS and 128 GB of SSD (RAID 0). In addition, the Legion Y90 comes with Android 12 operating system and a custom ZUI 13 user interface.

At first glance, the massive 6.92-inch Y90 display stands out. The manufacturer for this display has up-to-date technologies such as AMOLED panel with support for 2460 × 1080 resolution (20.5: 9 aspect ratio), support for HDR10 Plus, excellent color depth and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. In addition, the 144Hz update rate and 720Hz sampling rate combined with powerful hardware can create a unique experience for users.

Of course, this is not the whole story, according to Lenovo, the response time of the display of this phone is only 3.4 milliseconds. Also, looking at the side of the device, we see special keys that have the same function as the buttons L1, L2 and R1, R2 in the console controller. In addition, the manufacturer has installed two pressure-sensitive areas on the screen (similar to the L3 and R3) to eliminate the need for users to use any other peripherals, such as the controller.

The Legion Y90 is equipped with Z-axis motors and stereo speakers (with support for Dolby Atmos and 40% louder sound than the previous generation) to complete its gaming capabilities. The 16-megapixel selfie camera of this phone is designed to maintain the uniform design of the product so that the appearance of the display remains the same.

Looking at the back, we see a 64-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel (120-degree) ultra-wide-angle lens. The design of the cameras is somewhat different from other phones on the market and they are located in the center of the back body (because this phone is designed for gaming and holding horizontally, and therefore the location of the cameras has been moved to the center of the screen) And in the same part, there is the Lenovo RGB logo, which users can change its design from 262,000 colors, depending on their taste.

The Legion Y90 is powered by a relatively large 5,600mAh battery that, according to the manufacturer, can last between 8 and 13 hours during video playback. This product also supports 68-watt fast charge, and it takes only 35 minutes to charge the phone from 0 to 100 with a fast charger.

Price and time of supply

For optimal battery consumption, the manufacturer has used a variable update rate to minimize battery consumption during idle or light work. Accordingly, this product is able to switch between 144, 120, 90 and 60 Hz update rates, depending on the content broadcast.

Other features of the Legion Y90 include support for 5G and Wi-Fi 6. However, this version does not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack (the previous model also lacked such a feature). The phone is currently available for pre-order in China and will go on sale on March 10.

Currently, the 12GB version comes with 256GB of internal storage priced at 4,300 yuan ($ 680), the 16GB version and 256GB of internal storage priced at 4,600 yuan ($ 730), and the top-of-the-line version with 18GB of RAM and 640GB of internal storage is available for purchase for 5,300 yuan ($ 840).
