The man with a smile was honored/ the lasting echo of a doubler’s voice with “Finally Rafat” – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr reporter, the unveiling ceremony of the documentary film “Saranjam Raafat”, a portrait of veteran dubbing artist Raafat Hashempour, was held in the evening of Monday 13th of Azar in Arsbaran Cultural Center, with the patronage of Nasser Mamdouh Dublor, a veteran and prominent announcer.

This ceremony was accompanied by the presence of a group of stuntmen and their families, and a short documentary called “Smiling Man” focusing on the life and career of Nasser Mamdouh was also shown.

Nasser Mamdouh stated at the beginning of this ceremony: dubbing was once very good, especially before Corona, but Corona messed everything up. Now the movies are dubbed as a single narrator. A double goes into the studio and says all his dialogue, comes out and the next double goes.

Referring to the dubbing platforms, he clarified: Now the youth are exploited, Nemava and Filmo give the films to the middlemen, who get the most money, and these young people do not get paid much.

Later, Nahid Amirian, one of the veteran stunt doubles, came on stage and said: “If I didn’t come to this event, I would have a guilty conscience. The position of Mr. Mamdouh is so dear that he is not just a colleague to me, but as a father and elder.”

Abolqasem Naseri, the production manager of Documentary Network, also said: I am happy to be here on behalf of Documentary Network. About 7 years ago, we were at the service of Mr. Mamdouh, and at that time he said that he likes people and he likes working for people. I thought how many percent of us are happy with our jobs but he is still happy with this job.

He added: How is it possible for someone to be so successful? Having morals, humility and philanthropy are among the characteristics of Mr. Mamdouh.

Dubbing expert Abbas Zahidinzadeh said in the continuation of this ceremony: There is a special resonance in Mr. Mamdouh’s voice and he played different roles and he could speak the characters in such a way that it was believable. There is a dignity in his voice that made us associate with this voice for years and we hope that different generations can benefit from this voice.

Abolfazl Tavakoli, the director of the documentary “Smiling Man” also said: In 2016, we were able to serve Mr. Mamdouh. When the movie “Finally Rafat” was ready and Mr. Mamdouh accompanied us, we saw an opportunity to honor him as well. Among the documentaries I have made, this was the only film whose name was chosen based on the character and subject of the film, because Mr. Mamdouh is a person whose smile is clearly present in his behavior, expression, and work.

He also said about the documentary “Saranjam Raafat”: Mrs. Raafat Hashempour’s voice has remained in the memory of us Iranians, and I knew it was my duty to make this work as far as I could. When this documentary was made, many people reported that Mrs. Hashempour’s name is Rafat, not Rafat, but in the documents we had from her, the name was written this way. Although they were more famous with A.

In a part of this ceremony, Abbas Azimi, CEO of the Institute of Veteran Artists, said: There are a thousand artist members in this institute, including Professor Mamdouh, whom we have the honor to serve.

Nasser Mamdouh also said at the end: Thank you very much, I was influenced by these kindnesses and you have to live anyway.

At the end of the ceremony, a statue of the documentary network and a certificate of appreciation for more than half a century of artistic activity of Nasser Mamdouh and the documentary “Sar Menar Raafat” were unveiled. The new production of the documentary network, produced and directed by Abolfazl Tavakoli, is a narrative of Rafat Hashempour’s artistic activity.
