The meeting of the artistic deputy of the Ministry of Guidance with the head of the Faculty of Fine Arts


According to Fars news agency, in this meeting, Ebadreza Eslami, the head of the Museum of Contemporary Arts, Alireza Azhdari, international affairs consultant and member of the faculty and industrial design department, Rahmat Amini, the director of the theater department, and Homan Asaadi, the director of the fine arts music department, were also present. Salari, deputy of artistic affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, emphasized the importance of connecting the academic body of the university and the government as much as possible and said: We welcome the presence of academic professors and academic elites with open arms. Salari added: The art education system has been facing serious criticism in recent years, we should try to restore this system by referring to the originals and using religious teachings so that instead of art technicians, committed and ethical artists are trained.

Welcoming the various programs proposed by the Faculty of Fine Arts for cooperation with the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, the Vice-Chancellor of Artistic Guidance noted: Obviously, fine arts graduates will come to the art community in a short period of time and will be guided in interaction with various departments of the Vice-Chancellor of Fine Arts. Therefore, it is possible to formulate a road map and have a practical plan for the future with organized cooperation.

Salari emphasized: organizing an artistic event and creating a passionate and lively artistic atmosphere is among the priorities, but it should not be enough to hold an event, one should also pay attention to its analysis and achievements, for example, music and visual festivals for young people have been held at the national level for several years. It can be done, but it is never reviewed and analyzed what the young people who shined in these events are doing now, and pathology and analysis of opportunities and threats remain in the background.

In this meeting, Hamed Mazaherian, the head of Tehran University Fine Arts Campus, referring to the history of Tehran University, said: it is necessary to establish a relationship between the university and the official art custodian centers, and this is an opportunity for cultural interaction between the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Ministry of Culture and Guidance. In this meeting, the books “Review of Foreign Works of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts, Selection of International Print Works and Selection of International Photo Works” from the museum’s publications were donated to Tehran University Fine Arts Campus library.
