The memory of “Genghis Jellilund” from the dubbing of Paul Newman and Fardin films + film

According to Fars News Agency, the Museum of Iranian Cinema continues to publish a series of sessions on its oral history on the occasion of the living birthday of “Genghis Jalilund; Doubler, Dubbing Director »has published excerpts from the conversation with this artist, which you can read below.

Genghis Jalilvand, stating that he was born in Shiraz on November 27, 1961, said: I lived in Shiraz until I was 7 years old, I grew up and after that we came to Tehran because of my father’s job.
He continued: “The first film that interested me a lot in dubbing was” Fateh “, in which Nusratullah Mohtasham spoke instead of John Wayne. A majestic voice like a nobleman made me think how good it is to speak for a commander. Of course, I did not think of becoming a commander or playing the role of a commander, but I thought how good it is to speak like a commander.
“I remember the director or producer of Iranian films going to see foreign films and asking who spoke on behalf of this foreign actor, and when they found out that I was dubbing, they invited me to speak in their films,” Jellilund said. I once spoke in the place of Haidar Saremi (actor).
He reminded: in those years, first-rate actors had not yet come to conquer the cinema, and those who played on the radio came to the cinema and played the lead role. Like Mr. Amirfazli, Mr. Mossadegh and Mr. Tabesh who first worked in radio and then came to the cinema.
Jellilund continued: When I spoke instead of Paul Newman in the movie “Someone Above Loves Me”, Siamak Yasemi said that he wanted Jalilvand to speak instead of Mohammad Ali Fardin. For the films “Mr. Twentieth Century” and “The Treasure of Qarun”, as I was talking about “Paul Newman”, I combined the theme of our southern city, and finally Qanj Qarun came.
“I love dubbing,” he said. “My job is to be a person to me, and just as we love a person when we love him, so is dubbing to me.” My job is my love, I really believe in my job and I am sensitive to it.

* I did not like to speak instead of a negative role

Jellilund continued: “I never wanted to speak in the negative instead of the role, and I believed that when the protagonist is more positive, why should I say negative. Usually I was not chosen for negative roles and I did not choose myself.
In the end, he said that he loves Iran, he said: I can not leave Iran in any way. The dearest members of my family live outside of Iran and they miss me, but I always miss my homeland. I love the people of my country, and I hope that God will give me a healthy body so that I can practice the religion I have for my dubbing friends and those who love and support my voice, and I thank them for all their love for me. I hope to respond to their love with the good works I present in the cinema.

The living memory of Genghis Jalilvand was born on November 27, 1961 in Shiraz and died on December 2, 2016 in Tehran due to coronation.
