Details of the amendment of car import regulations

Also, in paragraph (2) of the regulation, it was specified that “a working group under the responsibility of the Ministry of Security and the membership of the Ministry of Economy and the Planning and Budget Organization is obliged to provide the commercial profit rate of imported cars in terms of value (FOB) in such a way that the difference between the base price and the final price in Commodity exchange is equivalent to fair profit” from which the word “commodity exchange” has been removed.
Clause (5) of this regulation has been amended in such a way that vehicles with a license to drive in free zones, subject to the payment of all related duties and debts and import duties (customs and commercial interest), will be allowed to have national license plates and drive in the mainland. Except from the ruling of paragraph (1) of the joint memorandum of the Supreme Council of Free and Special Zones and Customs, they are not included in this paragraph.
In the note of this paragraph, it is stated: “The price of the car for the calculation of customs duties and taxes is determined in accordance with Article (14) of the Law on Customs Affairs approved in 2019 through the system related to the country’s tax affairs organization (car transfer tax payment system)” and “The said organization is obliged to continuously update the price information of this system”.
Designing new methods for selling imported cars
