According to the music reporter of Fars News Agency, the closing ceremony of the 16th regional music festival was held on Tuesday, January 19, with the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, and a group of artists from this area at the Rudaki Hall.

He continued: Our Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Bushehr, Khorasan, Sistan and Baluchistan are full of musical beauties of the regions. I emphasize to my colleagues in the deputy art department, like last year, to promote this art in different regions. The musical taste of young people has moved away from these points. Iranians are artists and they value art, this taste should not be promoted.

He continued: If the culprits for the change of taste are to be introduced, the first step would be the governing bodies. As it has been neglected and this section has moved away from its true position, my friends should help it to return to its original position. I try to attend most of these relatives’ programs. We should follow the same approach we have. And our original artists should be seen and appreciated. Let the youth know that we appreciate veteran artists.

Esmaili noted: The music of the regions is the main part of the national identity. We must respect the people’s choices. We must respect the obvious treasures of the country.
