According to the reporter of Mehr, after the poor results obtained by the national volleyball team in the Olympic selection, the recruitment of foreign coaches was put on the agenda of the volleyball federation, several meetings were held to entrust the bench of the national team to foreign coaches, and finally the volleyball federation to 6 Beligini, Heinen, Piazza, Elkno, Peyman Akbari and Saeed Maarouf were selected. The arbitration negotiations of the head of the volleyball federation with foreign coaches were ongoing and the coaches had given their plans to the federation. For example, Piazza had given the federation a 50-page plan to guide the national volleyball team, but with the end of the four-year arbitration period and the lack of agreement of the Ministry of Sports to hold Extraordinary assembly, all negotiations with foreign coaches were suspended.
At the same time that the volleyball federation was in limbo due to the lack of a decision by the Ministry of Sports, Beligini, one of the options of the federation to lead the national team, started negotiations with the Bulgarian team and accepted the leadership of this team. In this way, one of the main options for leading the national team, on which the federation had opened a special account, was lost.
The other options for leading the national volleyball team were “Piazza” and “Alkeno” who have not yet officially announced their withdrawal to the volleyball federation, because the federation does not have a president to continue the negotiations and they will also give their answer, but from the ears and Besides, it is heard that they also regretted their presence in Iran due to the current situation of the volleyball federation.
Does the Ministry of Sports start working?
The national volleyball team has only 6 months for the last chance to participate in the Paris Olympics, and the League of Nations is their last chance to become an Olympian. According to the current conditions of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, it should determine the task for the federation as soon as possible. Yesterday, the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Kiyomarth Hashemi, chose a supervisor for four federations, however, according to one of the middle managers of the Ministry of Sports, the minister is not going to choose a supervisor for the volleyball federation, but will soon agree on the date of the extraordinary assembly of this federation so that the members of the assembly for decide the future of Iranian volleyball.
In any case, considering the conditions of Iranian volleyball, it is too late to even make a decision about the status of this Olympic discipline today, and negotiations should be resumed as soon as possible so that other foreign options do not sign contracts with other teams.
