The society of cinematographers of Iran is one of the most populous guilds in Iran with about 6 thousand members. If on average each member of the cinema house is the supervisor of only one other person, this guild has a direct relationship with the livelihood of nearly 12 thousand people.

Khana Cinema is the union organization of this large population and has the task of solving their problems. So far, 13 CEOs in Khana Cinema have accepted responsibility to perform this task, the last one of them was Marzieh Broumand, who according to her did not understand the complexities and internal contradictions of the house. Cinema resigned from this position.

Now Ali Dehkordi is the 14th CEO of Khana Cinema and he is going to play perhaps the most complicated role of his career. A CEO who during his management period will definitely face many union expectations, expectations that are directly related to the livelihood of the members of this union and its 32 unions.

“The livelihood situation of a large part of the cinema family is so dire that they prefer to wait for their today until tomorrow, the successive tragic events and the currents and internal disagreements of the house also led to the halting of some of the big plans of the board of directors and assigning them to It became another future.” These sentences are part of the problems of Cinema House from the words of Marzieh Broumand, the former CEO of Cinema House.

But it should be seen what the members of this guild expect from the CEO of the cinema house. For this reason, we went to several members of this guild.

Iman Kermian, the head of the board of directors of the cinema house special effects guild, considers the insurance and livelihood of the members of this house to be the most important problem, he said in an interview with Fars reporter that “the livelihood and insurance of the members is one of the most important problems of the members of the cinema house, but considering Regarding these issues, economic problems have spread in the society and you can’t expect to create jobs from the cinema house, but solving the problem of members’ insurance is an issue that needs to be resolved.

Yunus Sabahi, the director of Peshkost production and the inspector of the board of directors of the production directors’ guild, also considered the problems of Cinema House to be structural and said in this regard: “The problems of Cinema House are structural and if this structure is not corrected, the problems that existed during the time of the previous managing directors of Cinema House, during the time of Mr. Dehkordi will continue. What should be amended in the first step of the cinema house is its constitution, which should be amended and the classes whose officiality is the reason for the existence of the cinema house should be recognized.»

He went on to express other problems and said: “Lack of interaction is one of the problems that exist in different classes, an issue that the new CEO must take steps to solve, of course there are meetings in this area, but this Engagement should take place on a daily basis, of course Mrs. Broumand took measures in this direction, which did not reach the result due to the absence of the board of directors of the cinema house, because this should be part of their agenda.“

Things that do not allow problems to be solved

These trade union expectations have existed for a long time among the residents of the Cinema House, but the problems that have occurred in this house have prevented the completion of these issues, Sabahi said in this regard: “According to the statutes of the Cinema House and the few changes that have been made The board of directors has been renamed to the board of directors, and this means that the functions of this group have also changed. This should happen because the board of directors is for economic institutions and companies, and the cinema house, as a trade union, must have a board of directors so that its members have the ability themselves. to make a decision; This item is also included in the draft of the new statute that was written but remained suspended and not approved.

Apart from these cases, the margins around the cinema also make the CEO not find time to solve problems, Iman Kermian said in confirmation of this case:Margins around the cinema house cause the CEO to stay in place, it causes many incidents and in general many shards hit the artists, but the CEO must have the ability to manage the margin, of course the members of the guild should not encourage the margins.“

Of course, it must be said that the problems of the cinema house, in addition to the efforts of the CEO, require the help of higher institutions.

Kermian said in relation to solving the problems of the cinema house: “We have many members in our guild who are struggling with different problems and have insurance problems, this issue must be solved once and for all, the dimensions of some problems are more than we can handle. It is our guild or the cinema house, and a higher institution should solve these issues. Once, the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the cinema organization should be paternalistic and help to solve this problem, so that the cinema house faces other problems.”

Of course, regarding the insurance problem, Sabahi states that “some of the insurance problems in the cinema house are related to the exchange of wrong information, information that is sometimes misrepresented and complicates the work. As one of the businesses in the country, we are under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor. And some people say that the issue of insurance should be solved by this ministry, on the other hand, artists are under the cover of the Ministry of Culture and Guidance, and the cinema house is directly under the supervision of the cinema organization, and it should be determined from which authority this matter can be followed up. »

CEO of Cinema House and its features

Kermian, the chairman of the board of directors of Khana Cinema Special Effects Guild, says: “I think that the CEO of any trade organization should have multiple aspects, it is not possible to come into work with only one cultural aspect and solve the economic problems of the guild.” The CEO must be both an economist, a politician, and know the culture in order to be able to negotiate to solve problems.”

Accompanying and knowing the environment of Cinema House is one of the important things for the CEO of this institution, Sabahi pointed out this importance and stated: “The CEO of Cinema House must have a background with this institution and know it, for example Mrs. Broumand had a very positive personality. And he was trying to solve the problems, but the lack of knowledge of the cinema house caused the communication between him and different classes to not be formed properly.”

First help the CEO, then give him a chance

But in spite of everything that has happened to Cinema House until today and with all the actions taken by every manager, today Ali Dehkordi was chosen as the fourteenth CEO of Cinema House and we have to wait to see his performance, a performance that will not be completed without the help of the members. Kermian said in this regard: “In my opinion, no matter what happens, we should all help Ali Dehkordi to be successful in achieving his goals. I worked with him for many years and I think he has the ability for this position, but regardless of this point, we should give him time.” to be able to solve the problems of the cinema house. “According to the statutes of Khana Cinema, each CEO of a cinema can take over the management for two terms, so we should give time to one person for at least one term before judging him later.”

This giving time is something that did not happen to Broumand, he was involved in the sidelines and took his time; Kermian explained in this regard: “Mrs. Broumand did not have enough time to perform properly, she was only in the cinema house for 8 months and this is a small opportunity. Even Ms. Broumand was involved in the sidelines, she said something at the funeral ceremony of the late Mehrjooi, which was the right thing to say, but she was attacked, which was a wrong thing.”
