The most important filmmaker of Africa in “Truth Cinema”

According to Fars News Agency, experimental and animated, Suleiman Cisse, who was born in 1940 in Bamako (Mali), finished his secondary education in Dakar, then went to Moscow to study at VGIK University. Cisse is called Africa’s greatest living filmmaker.
After returning from Moscow, Cisse became a news photographer. In 1975, Dan Musso (Young Girl) filmed Mali’s first feature film, which was immediately banned by the government. Cisse is the founder and president of the West African Association of Film and Audio Visual Producers and Entrepreneurs.
He is effective in the development of the African cinema industry and is one of the prominent figures of this cinema. Suleiman Cisse will talk about African cinema in a special session at the “Cinema-Ghekrit” festival.
