The narration of 8 writers and poets from Damavand

Farzaneh Mansouri, the wife of Naderi Ebrahimi, was the first narrator of Damavand.

Mansouri said in this program: Nader Ebrahimi had climbed the Damavand peak many times and had written a book titled “an incredible climb”. Damavand has a special place in our literature, in addition to being the highest mountain in Iran and the Middle East and a symbol of stability. Damavand is dear and valuable like the flag of Iran. When I see Damavand, I see a sense of humanity in him and I think he is my compatriot, I want to hug him and I love him like the dear flag of Iran because it is one of the symbols of our country.

He stated that my wife has climbed the Damavand peak many times, and added: One of her climbs in 1373 happened at the same time as 1500 climbers in one day, and 90% succeeded in conquering the peak, such a thing was a unique move in its time. . The book “An Incredible Climb” was also written after this climb and my wife presented it to Sadegh Aghajani, the then director of the Mountaineering Federation and 1,500 climbers who climbed at the same time. Ebrahimi interviewed some climbers during this climb and included it in parts of the book.

Then Mansouri read parts of this book to the audience in Damavand’s narrative program.

Mehri Rahimzadeh, a photographer, nature tourist and mountaineer who had a history of successfully climbing the peak of Damavand, was also one of the narrators of Damavand. He ascended to Damavand when he was 37 years old, and according to the old people’s belief, when they go somewhere for the first time, they pray, he also wants to be accepted as a master’s degree, and his prayer will be answered 10 days after his ascension to Damavand.

Mehdi Ghazli, director of the House of Poetry and Literature, also read the account of the first peak he climbed in his life, Damavand.

Before he read the story of his successful ascent to Damavand, he explained about the “Damavand Story” program: two things make us Iranians go to any part of the world and find each other, one is the song of Damavand with every accent and the other is language. That’s why I thought to use Damavand as an excuse to get together again.

Who was the first climber to Damavand?

Reza Zarei, head of the Mountaineering Federation, as another narrator of Damavand, said: “Damavand Narration” is one of the few programs that is not related to mountaineering but deals with mountaineering literature.

He continued: I was 10 years old when I met Damavand for the first time. My father had an elderly uncle who came from the village to the city and narrated that 110 years ago people who lived in Nain villages in Isfahan saw Damavand peak from there. , when there was no news of dust and tall buildings.

Zarei pointed to the first ascents of Damavand and said: One of the oldest narratives is related to Nasser Khosrow’s travelogue that the villagers used to go to the top of Damavand to get sulfur from there to make a living. Also, the first ascent to Damavand was made by Taylor Thomson from Britain. 20 years later, Mohammad Sadiq Khan Qajar became the first Iranian to climb the peak of Damavand.

The illusion of knowledge does not allow us to see Damavand

Mohammad Reza Sharfi Khobushan, an Iranian literature teacher, writer and poet, as another narrator who has not yet climbed the Damavand peak but sat watching Damavand, read a narrative titled “Watching Damavand”.

In his narration, this author tied the emptiness of modern man to not seeing Damavand and its myths and read in a part of his text: “Tehran is the best place to look at Damavand, however imagination is dead in Tehran, not seeing Damavand means not seeing the narratives that can tell us to save from the voids.

In another part of his narrative, he mentioned social networks and the world of visibility and said: “Illusion of knowledge does not allow us to see Damavand, instead of seeing, we try to expose ourselves to being seen.”

Masoume Safai Rad, a travel writer, also read the narration of “Like a mountain” for the audience of this program.

The poet Gholamreza Taraki also tied his honest account of Damavand with poetry.

The author of the children’s field, Samiye Seydian, also read a story from Damavand entitled “Watching Damavand from afar”, a story that was connected to his acquaintance with his wife Alireza Iranmehr, writer and mountaineer.

The last account of Damavand was read by the writer Mukarme Shoushtari, which was about three experiences of his unsuccessful ascent to Damavand.
