The castle of “Agha Khan Liravi” in the village of “Hesar” in the city of Deylam, one of the national registered monuments and historical attractions of Bushehr province, is being destroyed and is in urgent need of repair and reconstruction. Historical castles are one of the remnants of the past and history of our country, which tells many points and issues about the period in which the work was built and you should try to preserve it.
Aga Khan Liravi Castle, which has its own architectural features, is located about 30 km south of Deylam Port, a remnant of the Qajar period, in the village of Hesar, where it lived due to the rule of the Liravi Plain. This castle is one of the beautiful monuments. It is in the south of the country, which was built by the Aga Khan Lirawi during the Qajar period, but due to the lack of a special trustee and the ownership problem, it has not been repaired and is becoming more and more worn.

The castle has an area of four thousand square meters, which includes four watchtowers, a royal tower, a number of inner and inner rooms, a dungeon and other parts of which many parts do not exist today and have been destroyed. The height of the building of this castle is more than seven meters and it is one of the beautiful castles on the shores of the Persian Gulf, which is spectacular in size and beauty. This castle has 15 rooms and a bathroom. It looks interesting.
In the construction of the roof of this castle, “Boria” and a very strong wood called “Chandel” have been used for beams, and in its rooms, teak wood and a local mortar called “Chari” have been used.

At the time of construction of this castle in the lower part of the building, there were basements that were dedicated to keeping poultry and a part related to keeping wheat and barley for storage.
This part of the building, which was actually Khan’s inner courtyard, had several different parts, including the kitchen, the servants ‘bakery, the place for preparing yogurt, dairy products, and a part for the soldiers’ lives.
Renovation of the Aga Khan Castle is subject to transfer to the cultural heritage
The Deputy Minister of Planning and Civil Affairs of Deylam Governorate said: Aga Khan Lirawi Castle is a national monument that needs to be repaired and rebuilt.
Mohammad Taheri added: “While this historical monument has a property problem, the government cannot allocate credit for its repair and reconstruction until it is handed over to the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department.”
He stated: To solve the problems and repair it, a meeting was held before the meeting with the family of Aga Khan Liravi and with the presence of an investor who was one of the top seven architects in Iran, and even preliminary studies were conducted, but due to uncertain ownership of Ben We got stuck and there was no result.
The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Genaveh and Deylam counties said: “Aga Khan Liravi Castle is one of the registered national monuments due to the ownership problem, it has not been handed over to the cultural heritage yet.”
Hamzeh Bahagir added: This castle has been registered in the list of national monuments on December 26, 2000, number 2879, and if it is handed over to the cultural heritage, the necessary credit will be allocated for its repair and improvement.
He stated: To solve the problem of ownership and transfer of these national monuments to cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism, several follow-ups have been done so far and even talked to several grandchildren of Aga Khan Lirawi, but to no avail.
The head of Genaveh and Deylam Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department said: “Several visits have been made to this castle and parts of it collapsed in the earthquake a month ago, which was announced to the Bushehr Crisis Management to repair it.” .
He said: “If this nationally registered castle is not repaired and rebuilt, it will be destroyed and its ownership problem must be resolved as soon as possible.”
Shahrsan Deylam is located in the north of Bushehr province and has several historical monuments.
