From Semnan province, the case of Tafresh city in Markazi province as the national city of Tafresh, embroidery and the case of Davijan village from Hamedan province as the national village of pearl weaving were examined.

At the beginning of the meeting, the files of Semnan province were reviewed and according to the existing capacities in this province, the necessity and more attention was paid to the handicrafts of the cities and villages of this province and the officials who attended the meeting from Semnan province Presented to this council and explained the capacities of handicrafts in this province.

National registration of cities and villages, a practical step to support handicrafts

Alireza Sharbatdar, Mayor of Mahdishahr, referring to the importance of national registration of national cities and villages of handicrafts, said: “Registration of cities and villages of national handicrafts is a valuable action done by the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts. “Semnan province will be reviewed and evaluated in this meeting.”

Hojjat-ul-Islam Ansari, Friday Imam of Kalateh-e-Khaij, referring to the positive action of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts in the national registration of cities and villages of handicrafts, said: “Fortunately, there are very good capacities in different parts of the country. Commercialization of handicrafts in Semnan

Hamidreza Doostmohammadi, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Semnan, also said in this meeting: “One of the most important issues that we are working to support handicraft artists is the issue of commercialization. This issue has even been seen at the Sangsar Tribe Festival and we have taken good steps to commercialize handicrafts. “We also talked to famous clothing brands and we intend to introduce traditional clothing that is produced in different parts of the province to the interested parties using the capacities of famous brands.”

He also referred to the file of the city of Kalateh Khaij, adding: “This city is a historical and beautiful city, whose file has been sent for the national registration of the historical context. “Out of more than 5,000 people in the city, 900 are handicraft activists working in the field of traditional textiles, and this shows the importance of traditional textiles in this city.”

The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Semnan pointed out: “Cooperatives have been set up to support the artists of this city, and people with university education are also active in this field.”

He also referred to the capacities of Abrasaj village and reminded: “Considering the capacities of this village in the field of felting, we have special programs for this village.”

Tafresh becomes the national city of Tafresh

In the continuation of this meeting, the case of Tafresh city as the national city of Tafresh embroidery was reviewed. “Fortunately, Tafresh has many advantages in the field of handicrafts, and jobs can be created for the people of Tafresh through tourism and handicrafts.”

Abdul Reza Haj Ali Beigi, the governor of Tafresh, also mentioned the city’s capacities in various fields, including handicrafts, and said: “This city has played an important role in history and now the handicrafts of this city are considered as one of the valuable products and from history And is old. “This is while Tafresh itself is 3,000 years old.”

He added: “Tafresh is a garden city, we have three times the residential area of ​​the garden in Tafresh, and permanent figures such as Professor Hesabi belong to this city. “We are pleased that this city is to be registered as a national city of embroidery, although there are many other aspects in the field of handicrafts in this city that need more attention.”

The governor of Tafresh reminded: “We have many artists who are engaged in this field. Fortunately, online sales of Tafresh and embroidery have been launched, and we are witnessing the activities of stores dedicated to the supply of this product in cyberspace.”

Export of Malayer pearls to different countries

In another part of the meeting, the case of Davijan village in Malayer city of Hamadan province was examined as a national village of pearl weaving. In this meeting, Ali Malmir, director general of heritage, culture, tourism and handicrafts of Hamadan, said: It is located. “The raw materials for pearl weaving in this region are such that they supply other regions as well.”

“We have 120 home workshops and 60 large workshops, and 5 million pieces of pearls are produced in this village,” he added. “Fortunately, pearls are also exported to different countries, so that $ 260,000 was the income of pearl exports from this region.”

“We have 200 hectares of farms for the production of pearl raw materials, and this village has now become a hub that covers other areas as well,” Malmir recalled. “This activity is very cheap and with a small investment of 2 million tomans, this activity can be started.”

Hojjat-ul-Islam Ahad Azadikhah, a representative of the people of Malayer and a member of the parliament’s cultural commission, also spoke at the meeting: “Let the handicraft industry flourish in that area as much as possible.”

“Sometimes we have assets that we do not value,” he added. For example, pearls are one of the most important assets of the people and now a number of people in Malayer region are engaged in the art of pearl weaving. One of the advantages of pearl raw materials is that the wick used in pearl weaving uses the least amount of water. “There are very good capacities in this area, and if the registration is done and the support continues, do not doubt that we will see good developments in that area.”

Focus on training and establishing a permanent sales center, two important steps after national registration

Pouya Mahmoudian, Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, said at the meeting and after reviewing the files of the three provinces of Semnan, Markazi and Hamedan, referring to the very good results of the Fourth Strategic Council for Selecting National Cities and Villages. “A strategy will also lead to good results.”

“The cases filed by the provinces in this council are very important, and the national registration of each of the cities and villages of handicrafts can help the handicrafts to flourish in the province as much as possible,” he added.

Mahmoudian continued: “After the national registration of each city or village, we have to do some basic work. The first issue is the focus on education, along with the preparation and installation of elements to display the handicrafts in different parts of the region. “At the same time, senior provincial officials must provide artists with a bazaar and a fixed location for the sale and supply of handicrafts.”

“The national registration of a village or town in the field of handicrafts, which is the basis for global registration, requires national determination, and all senior provincial officials and members of parliament must help,” Mahmoudian continued.

In another part of his speech, Mahmoudian referred to the case of Tafresh city and added: “Tafresh city is a city of scientists and elites and we have very good capacities in the field of handicrafts in this city. “Certainly, the national registration of Tafresh as the national city of Tafresh embroidery will play an important role in the development and prosperity of handicrafts in this city.”

“We will try to introduce Tafreshi embroidery nationally and internationally,” he added. “It is very important to set up a handicraft store and sales site in this city, especially since good work has been done in the field of commercialization in this regard.”

The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts continued: “One of the issues that must be considered is the widespread promotion of this beautiful art and the continuation of education for those interested in this field.”

Mahmoudian continued the meeting by referring to the case of Davijan village as a national village and added: “Pearl weaving is one of the most important disciplines in this region and we are happy to review the case of this beautiful and lasting art today. “This art has a long history, and fortunately it is flourishing in that area, and artists are particularly interested in the art of pearl weaving.”

He added: “One of the characteristics of Morvar is the continuity of this product, which can be used for many years and will not be damaged.”

The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts continued: “We need the cooperation of national and provincial officials to nationally register a city or village. Without the cooperation and participation of provincial officials, good things can not be expected to happen, the support of handicraft artists is an important popular demand because our records are economy-oriented records. “Therefore, all officials must work.”
