Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan added: 14 games out of 24 local games of this village have been revived in the last 10 years and these games are held in two separate places for men and women, which are based on intelligence and speed of action. It usually does not require special equipment.
Shahvardi stated: The games are performed after asking the elderly people of the village under their supervision and with their participation, and in the past, the games were mostly played during the Eid days due to the busyness of the people in agriculture.
He said: due to the local and native games festival held in Gastaj village in the past years, this festival was registered at the provincial level in the calendar of tourism events of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the number 2020917 and the issued certificate was notified to the province and if the festival continues It is also possible to register it at the national level.
The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of South Khorasan said: Considering the growth of ecotourism and the revival of handicrafts and tourism in villages, relying on rural tourism and branding festivals and native and local events of the province can also help the development of the economy and employment of villages.
Shahvardi emphasized: The efforts and approach of the tourism community of the province and city to introduce such rituals in the form of tourism events in the country will continue and is considered as an important mission in the tourism industry of South Khorasan.
