The necessity of all-round support of the authorities for investment in Kurdistan tourism

According to Aria Heritage report, according to the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kurdistan Province, Mansour Mehrzad said in a meeting with the governor of Sanandaj on Thursday, January 1, 1401: “There are various places in the province that are very suitable for the development of the tourism industry.”

The head of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kurdistan Province stated: The whole concern of this complex is the development of the infrastructure of the tourism industry and the increase of investment volume with the participation of the private sector.

Referring to the desire of the UNIDO organization to invest in Kurdistan and create employment for one thousand people in the field of handicrafts, he added: “We need the support and cooperation of the senior officials of the province and the city to realize this goal.”

Mehrzad also said regarding the acquisition of historical monuments in the central core of Sanandaj city: Our main approach is to encourage the private sector to keep this valuable heritage alive.

The head of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kurdistan reminded: Every idea and proposal that can be effective in the field of tourism development and the development of handicrafts in the province will be welcomed and given special support.

The governor of Sanandaj city also said in this meeting: The development of tourism in this city and making more use of these capacities requires correct and comprehensive planning.

While appreciating the measures taken in Sanandaj’s tourism sector, Hassan Askari said: It is expected that we will identify the weak and strong points of the city with appropriate planning and cooperation and interaction and take steps in the direction of providing good services to guests and tourists.
