The need to pay special attention to the issue of population/livelihood and economy is the priority of the country
According to the Arya Heritage report and quoted by Khane Mellat, in the joint meeting of Mohammad Bagheri Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Council, and a number of ministers and MPs, the most effective strategies for population growth and family promotion in the 7th plan were discussed.
In this meeting, Qalibaf pointed to the necessity of strict implementation of the Law on Family and Youth Protection and said: Currently, the population issue is the concern of the Supreme Leader, the government, the Islamic Council and the people, and in addition to the strict implementation of the Population Law, in the seventh plan Serious attention should also be paid to this matter.
He added: The responsible institutions, especially the government and the parliament, should increase their actions with strength and speed to create better conditions for the increase of the population in the country and the desire of couples to have children.
The Speaker of the Islamic Council pointed out the necessity of building culture for the growth of the population in the country and said: providing people’s livelihood and the issue of economy are among the current priorities of the country, at the same time, the issue of population and water are also among the main priorities that should be taken into account.
Qalibaf added: In the formulation and implementation of the 7th plan, all issues of the country should be family-oriented, and education and training policies should be formulated and taken into account with an eye on the family.
He emphasized on making people’s departments and groups more active in the field of population increase and said: In December of this year, the parliament will examine the issue of population in its monitoring day with the presence of relevant officials.
It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, the ministers of health and treatment, cooperation, labor and social welfare, as well as road and urban development and a number of representatives of the Jamiat faction of the Majlis presented a report on the measures taken in the field of the implementation of the family protection law.
