The negotiations between Saudi Arabia and Iran were put on the diplomatic track – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news



According to the Mehr news agency, quoted by the official Iraqi news agency, “Ahmad Al-Sahaf”, the spokesman of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, said in a press statement that the negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia have entered the diplomatic process from the security aspect, and these negotiations are still ongoing under the supervision of Baghdad.

He emphasized the importance of these negotiations in order to bring closer the views and resolve the remaining issues between the two countries and protect their interests.

The spokesperson of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry pointed out that Baghdad is still seeking to bring closer the views of the parties, and clarified: The last meeting of the negotiations was held in Baghdad under the supervision of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Al-Sahaf continued: We are still creating coordination between the two sides in order to prepare for the continuation of these talks.

Earlier, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fawad Hossein expressed his opinion on various issues at the Manama Dialogue Conference and spoke about Iraq’s efforts to improve diplomatic relations with all countries of the world.

Fawad Hossein also announced the continuation of Iraq’s efforts to hold talks between Iran and Saudi Arabia and said: Tehran and Riyadh are willing to continue bilateral talks.
