The new feature of Instagram for stories will make you free from prying eyes

Instagram’s new feature for stories allows you to create multiple groups like Close Friends and have more control over who can view your stories.

In the future, Instagram may allow you to show your stories only to a certain number of your friends. Instagram CEO Adam Mossari explained on his personal page that this social network is working on testing a feature that will allow you to show your stories to different groups of your followers. Of course, it is not clear when this new feature of Instagram for stories will be ready to be presented to users.

Instagram's new feature for stories

Currently, the app offers a feature called “Close Friends” that allows you to show your stories only to a specified group of your friends and followers. This feature can provide some privacy of users in cyberspace, especially if you own a public page.

But sometimes you might want to share a story with someone outside of your safe circle. Having the option to create multiple lists alongside Close Friends means you can share stories to different groups.

Adam Musari explains this option:

This allows you to share stories with smaller groups and have more control over who can view your stories.

As you can see in the released images of this feature, you can create different groups for your relatives or followers who are interested in food.
