The new Mac mini will be available in two versions

After it was announced yesterday that Apple is working on a new model of Mac Pro equipped with M2 chip, now more news has been published about other products of this company. Accordingly, we expect to see the unveiling of the new generation of Mac mini in September. As you know, Mac Studio was recently launched with the M1 Ultra chip, however new evidence suggests that new models of the Mac family will be available with the M2 chip later this year. It is said that Apple is currently testing and developing nine new models of the Mac series and four different models of the M2 chip. In addition, in the other part of the report, it was mentioned that the new Mac Mini will be launched in two versions, including the M2 and M2 Pro chips. New Mac mini with M2 chip

As mentioned above, Apple is working on developing four different versions of the M2 chip. The data show that the base M2 chip is equipped with an 8-core processor and a 10-core GPU (the same model that is to be used in the MacBook Pro version). The next model is called M2 Max, which will have a total of 12-core processor and 38-core graphics processor with 64 GB of RAM.

In addition, there may be a more powerful chip that is not yet known, and will probably be called the M2 Ultra or M2 Extreme and will be introduced as a replacement for the M1 Ultra. The report shows that the Mac Mini 2022 will be available in two configurations with the M2 and M2 Pro chips. Also, Mark Gorman from Bloomberg magazine mentioned that Apple is testing another version of the Mac mini equipped with the M1 Max chip.

Earlier rumors had it that Apple was planning to launch a new Mac mini with a new design and look, but there are no exact details about it yet. More information about Apple’s plans is likely to be shared at WWDC 2022, which is scheduled for June this year.
