That’s because among the new packs, there’s a set that’s heavily inspired by the original iOS emoji and only includes animations made by Telegram.
According to Durov, telephoto brings a “new dimension to emoji compared to the static, low-quality emoji” of iOS. Telegram’s CEO claims that Apple has opposed “vector, emoji-quality animated versions.”
Now the Telegram update has been approved by the App Store review team despite the new wave traps. However, for now, this version does not include the animated emoji pack inspired by Apple’s design language. Durov says that this will give Telegram a strong incentive to make the wave trap even more “special and impressive” than before.
Apple’s response to the new telegram update

The App Store review team noticed that some of Telegram’s new emoticons have the same language as Apple’s commercial emoticons. According to App Store guideline 5.2.5, third-party and independent developers cannot make apps that are “confusingly similar to an Apple product.” In the same guidelines, Apple clearly states that this includes “not duplicating Apple’s emoji design.”
