According to Fars news agency’s art reporter, the first Internet TV channel “Kitab” was launched last year at the same time as the 30th edition of the Book Week and after signing the memorandum of understanding between this network and the vice president of the virtual space of the Broadcasting Organization and obtaining the license to establish and launch the network. Referring to the experimental activity of this network, Ahmadvand explained: During the experimental activity, high-quality programs have been produced with the efforts of the colleagues of the book network, which are available for professional and general audiences of books and publishing. Fortunately, the book is a significant topic and the attention of radio and television, so that special attention is paid to the subject of reading books in content production.

The deputy of cultural affairs of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance further said: Supreme Leader places special emphasis on promoting book reading because they believe that books pave the way for the country’s growth.

He stated that about 110,000 book titles are produced in the country every year, and emphasized that the book network can have programs for these books.
