The opening of the photo exhibition of the “28 August coup plot” in Saad Abad / 2 reasons for the failure of the oil nationalization movement

According to the Aria Heritage report, citing the public relations and international affairs of the Saadabad Cultural and Historical Collection, the opening ceremony of “Exhibition and Storytelling on 28 August” with the presence of Musa Haqqani, the head of the Contemporary History Research Institute, Vahid Rahmati, the director of the Saadabad Collection, and a group of contemporary history researchers, this Saturday evening, 29 August It was held in the Mellat Palace Museum located in Saad Abad complex.

Vahid Rahmati, the director of the Saad Abad Collection, gave a short speech at the ceremony, while thanking Musa Haqqani, the head of the Contemporary History Research Institute, and Mohammad Reza Varzi, the secretary of the Saad Abad Collection Steering Council, said: “Today, we have come to the conclusion that we have a duty to inform the audience through narration. We should try based on documents and research, and now this issue is the first priority of the Saad Abad collection.

He continued: “Of course, we are far from the desired point. God willing, we will reach a point where the narrative process becomes a debate so that it is not one-sided.

The director of the Saad Abad collection, which has 13 active museums, stated: “Our plan for the future is to make our museums attractive to the audience with a narrative.”

Soft war against the nationalization movement of the oil industry

Musa Haqqani, head of the Contemporary History Research Institute, said at the event: “August 28, 1332 is a bitter memory in the minds of the Iranian people, because the nationalization movement of the oil industry was carried out in one day by the military forces, thugs, and basically foreign intelligence services like “Intelligent Service and CIA, together with the Zionist and unknown network in our country, Badamen, failed.”

He added: “The British have not yet published any documents about the August 28 coup, and they did not say anything about their participation until two or three years ago. The Americans, of course, have published documents – not in full -.

This professor of contemporary history continued: “There is a proverb that says; The only place where there is no coup is America, because it does not have an embassy in its own country! Otherwise, wherever they have embassies, they have staged coups, that is, more than 70 coups.”

Haqqani added: “The Americans rudely say; We staged a coup on August 28 using five people, and then they even changed their word and said four and a half people, because one of them was deaf! “If they had launched a detailed soft war against the nationalization movement of the oil industry, and it was not like a coup would be carried out in a half day.”

Ayatollah Kashani, the hero of the 30th incident

Regarding whether Dr. Mossadegh himself participated in the coup or not, Haqqani said: “In my opinion, Dr. Mosadegh himself had reached a deadlock, and when he has reached a deadlock, he cannot break the deadlock. I was going through the photos of the newspapers of that time and saw that they had printed the photos of Ayatollah Kashani in an ugly way in line with the soft war that was formed to divide the nation. Of course, we are still caught up in the soft war of the British, and they continue to release videos and interrupted speeches about August 28.

The head of the contemporary history research institute stated: “I listened to Ayatollah Taleghani’s speech in 1957 next to Dr. Mossadegh’s grave, and he considered the dissension between the leaders of the movement and the behavior of political parties to be the two reasons for the failure of the oil nationalization movement. Popularization of the oil industry is due to the efforts of Ayatollah Kashani, Ayatollah Khansari and devotees of Islam. While the devotees of Islam were imprisoned and tortured during Dr. Mossadegh’s period. Dr. Mossadegh is a national statesman compared to Qawam al-Sultaneh and Wasthouq al-Dawlah; But it does not have the necessary capacity for an anti-dominion struggle, and when it fails, it throws a shield.”

He pointed out: “The united ranks of the Iranian people in 30th of July led to the return of Dr. Mossadegh to power, and Ayatollah Kashani is the hero of 30th of July, because he called the people to accompany and support Dr. Mossadegh.”

Haqqani said: “When you enter into a fight with America or England, you must predict and accept its consequences. What Dr. Mossadegh also did, but he did not succeed. And when you get less, you have to endure a worse situation. Like Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who after the coup d’etat on August 28 and his return, found a bolder Rezakhani mood and established widespread repression with the establishment of SAVAK.

Discord to divert the revolution

Stating that the revolution of the Iranian people is one of the three great revolutions of the 20th century, the head of the Contemporary History Research Institute added: “There are several methods for deviating the revolution by foreign services, the first of which is to spread discord with the help of the press. For example, by printing ugly caricatures of Dr. Mossadegh and Ayatollah Kashani, they tried to discredit both of them; Both of them used to be impatient sometimes by themselves and most of the time by the people around them and their image was tarnished.

Describing the events of those years, he said: “For an anti-colonial and anti-arrogance struggle, we limited ourselves to issues that were no longer effective, such as using the capacity of international forums. Of course, Dr. Mossadegh did a good job when he went to The Hague and won, but the other side did not respect these courts.”

Haqqani noted: “Discrediting the leaders of the movement, creating chaos in the society and scaring the clergy, as well as instilling despair for the future, are the steps to derail the revolution. I think we Iranians should study a lot about the August 28 coup and the discord. God willing, instead of beating each other and using history to settle the accounts of the day, let us protect the achievements of the nation and the country.”
