The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Mirjaveh added: Old trees are part of the national natural heritage and contain part of the identity of a region.
He stated: This action was implemented in order to protect cultural and historical works and promote people’s attention to the protection of cultural, historical and tourism heritage as national assets.
Kurd continued: Tag tree is one of the oldest trees in Taftan region, and before this, protection measures such as chalking, installation of an introduction sign and moving the bench at the foot of the tree under the supervision of experienced agricultural experts and with the aim of preventing the possibility of weakening this valuable plant species done.
