The origin of dust in some provinces of the country is from Iraq


According to Moj News Agency, Mohammad Asghari, an expert of the Meteorological Organization, stated: “In the past few days, we announced that dust production sources in northern Iraq and Syria and Saudi Arabia still remain, and unfortunately the border provinces, including Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Khuzestan, West Azerbaijan is involved.

He said: “Western currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere are so strong that they sweep this dust and have affected the provinces of Hamedan, Markazi, Qom, Alborz and Tehran.”

Asghari added: “As we move northwest, this dust will weaken.”

He said: “According to the events that have taken place in the Middle East due to low rainfall, this issue will be repeated and the peak of this dust is from April to August and as long as these springs exist, there will be dust.”

Asghari added: “According to satellite images, the origin of this dust is in Iraq, which unfortunately has affected the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Kermanshah, Markazi, Alborz, Zanjan, Qom, Tehran and Qazvin.”

He said: “From today, the air front will enter the country from the northwest, which will cause rain, and until Sunday, the provinces of Zanjan, Tehran, Qom, Markazi, Hamedan, Alborz, Markazi and the provinces of Northeast and West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan,” Alborz, Qom, Hamedan, Ardabil will be affected and will cause dust to be washed away.

Asghari added: “Due to air pollution and its index, people should refrain from being outdoors, and also due to the southern currents on the shores of the Caspian Sea and the southern winds, fires in the northern forests will be prone, so passengers should refrain from lighting fires to Let us not see forest fires, and let the authorities take this into account.
