The Pentagon is sending more than 10,000 new troops to Europe

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters that the force would be deployed in the coming months and that the position of US forces in Europe would remain the same, IRNA reported from Hill.
“These shifts are not permanent, but are designed to respond to the current security environment,” Kirby added.
According to a Pentagon spokesman, these forces are not going to fight in Ukraine, but will support the strong defense of NATO allies.
The United States deployed thousands of troops in February and March to bolster its European allies in the midst of the Ukraine war.
The Pentagon has recently deployed additional aviation capabilities in the European region, numbering about 200, bringing the total number of US troops in Europe to 100,000.
