The Persian language is the result of thousands of years of thinking of the nation/ If the language is damaged, the nation will perish

According to the reporter of Fars News Agency, the closing ceremony of the first national speech festival was attended by Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, head of the Persian Language and Literature Academy and senior advisor to the Supreme Leader, Seyed Taqi Sohrabi, deputy legal and parliamentary affairs of the Broadcasting Organization, Shahid Mozafari, deputy official. Vice President of Voice, Mohammad Jaafar Mohammadzadeh, Director of Iran Radio Network and Chairman of the Persian Language Protection Council, Vice President of Voice, Yadullah Guderzi, Secretary of the National Festival “Ayin Sokhn” and representatives of the embassy of Persian-speaking countries were held in Hall No. 1 of Shahada Radio.

Haddad Adel, referring to the humor that artists performed on Friday morning about protecting the Persian language, said: They joked with us so much in cyberspace that the radio also joked with us, you joke with us, but take the Persian language seriously.

Our cultural ecosystem is Persian literature, beliefs and language

The head of the Persian Language Academy continued: We, the people of Iran, have a cultural ecosystem just as we have a natural ecosystem. Lakes, desert, air, etc. are our natural environment. How often do we hear that we should take care of the environment, not pollute the soil, not eat mountains and preserve everything in nature. We also have a cultural ecosystem, which is our Persian literature, beliefs, and language, which is unlike the natural ecosystem of culture, and many times it is not felt, but it exists. If it is contaminated and destroyed, it is not possible to repair it.

He added: “In the last ten years, Lake Urmia has been damaged by our ecosystem, and a lot of investment has been made to compensate for it, and it has suffered a lot.” The cultural ecosystem is the same, if it is damaged, the nation will be destroyed, if the Persian language is destroyed, it cannot be repaired.

This language is the result of the efforts of our ancestors

He pointed out: Persian language is the result of thousands of years of thinking of the nation. The elders who developed this language are like Ferdowsi, Molavi, Saadi, Nizami and Saeb. This language is the result of the efforts of our ancestors and all the people of Iran and Persian speakers are responsible for it, but the people of Sedavasima are the most responsible.

A member of the academic staff of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature clarified: What do radio and television broadcasters have in their hands besides language? So they must be the guardians of the language. Because the Radio and Television of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a model. Here, I need to thank all those involved, but I cannot express my regret for the carelessness of some programs, and I request the administrators to take the warning of the Supreme Leader seriously and not allow the language to be polluted.

Radio supports the language

Criticizing a sports program, Haddad Adel said: “We have hundreds of experts, including in the sports department, and I request the radio and television to support the language.”

In the end, he emphasized: the issue of preserving the language is important because language is a means of communication, conveying concepts and a tool for running the country. Our communication with our ancestors and contemporaries is through this language and therefore it is necessary to know its value.

The director of Iran Radio also read a poem by Mahmoud Akrami and said in this ceremony: “Protecting the Persian language is not a luxury, protecting the cultural identity of a nation and the most important components of Iran’s identity are the earth and all Persian speakers in the world.” Such programs can only be a good start and protecting the language is never ending, and I hope this is a good start.

Mohammadzadeh Dameh said: Work for the Persian language requires success, and this is a duty for us in order to preserve our cultural and national heritage. Any nation that has a non-authentic borrowed language cannot claim that it has an original and deep-rooted culture, without a doubt, the nation’s identity is embodied in its national language.
