The Pixel 8 series is likely to receive more updates

While Google releases the original version of Android and 5 years of security updates for Pixel 3 phones, it is still far from the software support of iPhones. Now it is said that Google wants to change the procedure for the Pixel 8 series and even surpass Samsung.
While Google owns the Android operating system, it releases fewer updates for its products than Samsung’s Galaxy. Samsung releases 4 versions of Android for its flagship phones from the Galaxy S21 series onwards, but Google provides up to three main versions for Pixel users.
In the meantime, some Android products such as Nvidia Shield have received updates for years, and one of the reasons for this is the use of Nvidia’s own chips in this product. But it’s been a while since Google started using its own chips called Tensor, which could be the reason for longer software support.
Google is likely to increase software support for the Pixel 8 series
according to A new reportFor the next generation of Pixel phones, Google will have more performance than Samsung for its flagships. So apparently the Android owner wants to go to war with Apple directly and support the Pixels as much as the iPhones.
Apple is very good at updating its products. For example, the iPhone XS was introduced in 2018 with the iOS 12 operating system and will receive the iOS 17 update in the coming fall. Meanwhile, smartphones such as iPhone 6S and iPhone 7 are still receiving security updates.
If Google wants to increase its software support for Pixel products, Samsung is likely to follow the same path.
