According to Aria’s Heritage Reporter, Maryam Jalali, Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the country, this evening, Monday 24th of Bahman 1401, in a press conference explaining the programs of the 7th Fajr International Festival of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts, which was held at the Fajr Hall of the Ministry, announced this news and stated: Iran is a country of festivals, but All my efforts and my colleagues have been to achieve good results in this festival. This year is the seventh year of holding this festival and because the number 7 is a holy number, we hold this period internationally.

The Deputy of Handicrafts added: The judges and members of the World Handicrafts Council have been consulted and some of them will attend this festival by traveling to Tehran.

He said: Realization of the identity-based economy is the main vision of this period of the festival, and we hope to be able to make good innovations in this field. We are following to strengthen the attention and strengthen the value chain and we have planned eight important strategies for this festival.

Jalali continued: With the unveiling of the stamp, the seventh period of the festival will begin, and on the opening day, field visits will be made to various sections, and nearly 15 side sections have been prepared for this period of the festival, which is one of the most important side sections of this festival. , the symbolic planting of a cedar tree. In addition, Sero Simin Radio also introduces this festival by producing and broadcasting up to three hours of programs daily.

Jalali pointed out: Meanwhile, the Saro Simin 7 cinema has been prepared for the occasion of the festival, and films related to handicrafts will be shown at the same time as the 7th Fajr International Festival of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts.

He added: This festival is a place for dialogue and interaction as much as possible with the works of artists. For each day of this festival, an honorary president will be selected from among the veterans of the handicraft field, and specialized workshops will be held under the chairmanship of the honorary president.

The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts stated in the continuation of this press conference: Correspondence and consultation have been done with the cultural advisors of different countries and they have been invited to attend the festival and visit the exhibition of the festival’s works.

Jalali continued: Appropriate plans have been prepared for this festival and we will reap the results and fruits of this festival on the World Handicrafts Day in June 1402.

The Deputy Minister of Handicrafts of the country added: In addition to the handicraft festivals that we organize inside, our artists also participate in international festivals abroad. Our artists have this ability and they are powerfully present in various international exhibitions and festivals.

Jalali pointed out that there is nothing more knowledge-based than handicrafts, all the works of the National Handicrafts Exhibition are knowledge-based. Journalists should be the voice of crafts and the good works of this field should be widely promoted and introduced.

Paying attention to women and different tribes in Simin Saru Festival 7

Vida Tohdi, director general of the Office for the Support of Education and Promotion of Handicrafts, also said in this press conference: In this period of the festival, special attention has been paid to women, and in order to introduce the different ethnic groups of the country, the ethnic groups participate in their local clothes and costumes.

He added: First-class lecturers have also been invited to the specialized workshops of this course, and well-known judges such as Mehdi Keshavarz Afshar, Mohammad Taqi Ashuri, Yousef Samadi Bahrami, Mehdi Mohammadi from Iran, IT Singh and Asif Sheikh from India, and Joseph Lu from Singapore. They are present as external judges in this period of the festival.

He added: India, Oman, Singapore, Feslin, Kuwait, etc. are among the international participating countries in this period of the festival, and we have received 50 foreign works from various countries. Also, according to the plans, six generations of a Kalash weaving family from Kurdistan province will be present in this festival. The oldest Kalashbaf of this family is 107 years old and the youngest is 13 years old.

Performing ethnic music during the exhibition

Nader Zinali, the head of the committee of the provinces of this festival, also said in this press conference: Art groups of different provinces have been invited to participate in this period of the festival and perform cultural and artistic programs during the exhibition of the works of the festival. In addition, 20 handicraft artists from each province will be present in this period of the festival.

The 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival titled Saro Simin 7 will be held from 26 Bahman to 4 March at the National Museum of Iran.
