According to the Federation of Sports Associations, IRNA reported on Wednesday that Javad Nasiri, a member of the Muay Thai International Federation Presidential Council, was appointed by Stephen Fox, President of the Union through Sports (UTS), President of AIMS, and Vice President of GAISF as International organizations recognizing international and world federations under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have been appointed “High Ambassadors for Sports in the World.”
This sentence states: Javad Nasiri is a defender of excellence, respect and friendship as the three basic values of Olympism and has shown equality and non-discrimination in sports and has used sports as a tool to understand culture and peace.
She has been a promoter of gender equality in Iranian women’s sports and has well approved the hijab not only in Muay Thai but also in the world of sports. Iran’s position extends beyond a sports field and meeting rooms. We are interested in continuing close partnerships with Iran and Javad Nasiri, one of our sports ambassadors.
Stephen Fox is also the Secretary-General of the International Muay Thai Federation.
