The President of Turkey is visiting Egypt

According to Fars News Agency, some informed sources reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Egypt by the end of this year at the latest.
The sources said that Erdogan will probably go to Cairo after holding the presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14 (May 24).
According to the newspaperElium’s voteTurkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Galen said that a meeting between Erdogan and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is likely to be held in the future.
He also said that it is possible that there will be mutual visits between the presidents of Turkey and Egypt in the future, but it is not yet clear whether Erdogan will visit Egypt first or El-Sisi will visit Turkey.
Erdogan last visited Cairo in 2011 when he was the Prime Minister of Turkey and met with “Mohammed Hossein Tantawi”, the head of the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Armed Forces.
After years of tension between Turkey and Egypt, Erdogan and El-Sisi shook hands during a short meeting at the opening of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which, according to the Egyptian presidency, was the beginning of a new direction in the relations between the two countries.
