The press conference of the movie “Ostad”/Afkhami: I made an effort to make a movie

According to the film reporter of Fars News Agency, the press conference of Ostad, the first film that was screened at Fajr Film Festival, began with the presence of the actors of this film.

At the beginning of the meeting, Behrouz Afkhami, the producer of the movie Ostad, said: I thought it was a warm movie when I watched the movie for the first time.

Emad Hosseini, the director of the film, in response to the question of what was the purpose of making this film, said: The purpose of making the film cannot be described with words, and every audience will look at it according to the vision of the film. And everyone is looking for a subject to make a film, this subject seemed interesting to me, that’s why I made it.

Hosseini also answered the question why people go to the issue of rape and the May Day movement to make a film, and said: I don’t think that many films have been made in this field.

In response to a specific person who had such conditions, he said: We had several cases in the real world. There were many people who prevented the making of this film, but the issue that encouraged me to do this was that on the other side of the world, when a person is boycotted, even if it is important, this does not happen in Iran.

He added: My script is not an adaptation.

In response to the question of whether you were planning to adapt the film The Salesman, he said: I don’t see any similarities with that film, but they have the same themes.

In response to the question of how much the film cost, Afkhami said: The cost of the film is less than 3.5 billion tomans because the costs have increased and the agents received a percentage of the ownership of the film, which made this film made.

In response to the question of what challenges did you face with this role, the director of the film, Hadida Hosseini-nejad, said: The reality is that I think there are few women who have not at least avoided the issue.

He added: “Similar things have happened to me and that’s why I wanted to play this role.”

He continued: As a woman, I was affected by this film, but men were not.

In response to the question, why did you go for an apartment movie, if you yourself are not against making such movies, Afkhami said that at first I did not want to make this movie and I rejected it and said that it turned out well and I wanted a comedy movie. I will make it because after the course of these issues, I read 70 pages of the script and I liked it and accepted it.
