The quota of free gasoline in the fuel card is 150 liters / there is no limit for private cars

Jalil Salari, in an interview with Fars news agency’s economic reporter, referring to the reduction of 100 liters of gasoline quota of 3,000 tomans in personal fuel cards, stated: The main reason for changing the free gasoline quota from 250 to 150 liters per month was the fight against gasoline smuggling, and this is a challenge for consumption. Gasoline does not create people.
He said: The gasoline quota of 1500 tomans in the amount of 60 liters per month is left for private cars and 150 liters will be considered as free quota from this month.
Salari said: In this way, each private car will have 210 liters of gasoline per month, which means it can travel 2,100 kilometers per month.
The CEO of the National Refining and Distribution Company said: Traveling a distance of 2,100 kilometers for private cars is much more than the needs of any car, and in fact, the only thing that will happen with this change is the reduction of gasoline smuggling from border cities.
He emphasized: In addition to the free gasoline quota, there is also the fuel card of the stations, which makes all the needs of every car available.
Salari said: According to the statistics, only 2-3% of the cars use the free gasoline quota of their card, and they also use the gas station’s fuel card if needed, and this is possible from now on.
The CEO of the National Refining and Broadcasting Company said: Due to the integrated fuel system, it is not possible to reduce the second gasoline quota from 250 to 150 only for the border cities and exclude the rest of the cities. It prevents the smuggling of gasoline.
