Raiti Fard stated: I agree that the livelihood of workers has become difficult in inflationary conditions, but at least workers’ salaries are determined once a year. If a new decision is to be taken, it should be in a tripartite process that we have not yet concluded.

He asked whether it is not possible to compensate the worker’s purchasing power with side benefits such as unemployment benefit or livelihood basket. He said: We do not prevent the employer from giving more salary to the worker. According to Article 41 of the law, the Supreme Labor Council determines the annual floor and minimum salary. There is no obstacle for the salary ceiling, and the employer can give a higher amount or consider a livelihood package, there is no problem in this regard.

The Deputy Minister of Labor pointed to the statistics of work accidents and said: In 1400, the number of occupational accidents was 8,900 cases, which decreased to 7,950 cases in 1401, and occupational injuries resulting in death also decreased to 51 cases in 1401.

According to him, according to the statistics of the General Directorate of Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Labor, the number of occupational injuries resulting in death in 1400 was 768 cases, which decreased to 711 cases in 1401, and the prevalence rate of occupational injuries resulting in death was 100 thousand people. It was 5.1%, which reached 4.6% in 1401.

Referring to Iran’s accession to Convention 155 of the International Labor Organization, the Deputy Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare said: The bill for Iran’s accession to Convention 155 of the International Labor Organization was approved in December 1400 by the parliament and then announced by the president for implementation.

Pointing out that the aforementioned agreement and its supplementary document were drafted on the basis of tripartism, Raiti Fard said: the government is trying to significantly reduce occupational accidents and diseases and reduce work-related accidents, and in this context, it is necessary to secure the work environment. Provide standard production machinery and equipment and provide healthy working conditions.

He stated that the purpose of the implementation of the agreement is to protect the workforce and reduce the costs of accidents and occupational diseases and said: According to what has been stipulated, the conditions for the law to come into effect should be completed by the end of this year and the first performance report to the International Labor Organization in February 1403. Submitted.

At the end, Raiti Fard stated: According to the report of the International Labor Organization, 4% of the gross domestic product of countries is spent on occupational accidents and diseases and unfavorable and unsafe conditions in the work environment. Therefore, if we try to reduce these accidents and diseases, It will help to reduce the cost of production and increase job benefits and establish safety and health.
